Here’s a summary of some the main themes explored on this website.

Object Oriented Micromagnetic Framework (OOMMF)

I’m writing a tutorial  for OOMMFwhich helps new users get off the ground and more advanced users learn a few tricks and optimise their OOMMF usage.

The tutorial includes getting started with oommf, basic oommf operation and analysis, and more advanced scripting tasks.

I find python really handy for little scripts and analysing data. I keep a collection of Python Tips and code snippets that I’ve found useful along the way.

Human Factors

I’m interested in the engineering concept of human factors which takes into account not just systems, but the people who use them. I can’t help thinking that there must be things that academia can learn from this idea. Software engineering seem in particular to have some interesting offerings.

I try to keep track of my coding projects with git on github.
